Released in January 2017, Rem Nendoroid is one of the first takes at “Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu” series by the Good Smile Company, and surely a lovely item to add to any collection.

The figure comes in the usual window box we see Nendoroids in, which is of a lovely light blue color and which matches the character’s hair. Nendoroid Rem comes with quite some optional parts, including various expressions and accessories, as follows.

  • Nendoroid Rem
  • Nendoroid base and stand (standard)
  • Morning Star (x2)
  • Front hair part (x2)
  • Additional hair part (x1)
  • Tray (x1)
  • Arms (x7)
  • Hands (x7)
  • Legs (x2)
  • Face expressions (x3)
  • Support for Morning Star (x1)
  • Extra neck joint (x1)

The figure is detailed, well done and completely adorable, mostly thanks to one of the face plates. Rem comes with three different expressions, including a standard face, the just mentioned utterly cute one, and her oni face.

All the three provided face plates make this Nendoroid very enjoyable and quite interesting to play with (or display), especially the oni expression, which is designed to be used with the given matching hair parts and one of the Morning Star (Rem’s weapon).

The very same applies to all the wide range of optional parts Rem comes with, from the two different versions of her Morning Star, to the set of arms and hands, and so on. I particularly like how many display options this Nendoroid offers, with the two versions of Rem’s weapon (Morning Star) being one of my favorites.

In fact, Rem Nendoroid by Good Smile Company comes with both a static version of the weapon as well as with one provided with a real chain. The latter is my favorite one, as it can be used even when Rem is not posed with her oni parts.

Speaking of quality, this figure is pretty good. The sculpt is detailed and well done, and the same is true for the painting. The small details of her maid outfit are quite impressive, and Rem’s short hair has also been sculpted and painted with quite some attention and precision.

All the parts fit well and have no issues, except for the oni front hair part which, in my copy of the figure, doesn’t perfectly fit with the back hair part leaving a quite noticeable gap on Rem’s head. I’m actually not very bothered by this issue as I pose my Rem Nendoroid with her smiling face expression and using the normal front hair part, but the problem is there.

Rem Nendoroid is a very interesting poseable figure to have because it offers so many display options and perfectly portrays Rem’s character and appearance. The item is well done quality wise, and surely is a must have item for “ReZero” fans.
